Dr. Jennifer Gaughan, Assistant Professor at DCU, welcomed the students and hosted the morning’s events, which featured presentations on the importance of creating media pieces focused on the environment, climate change, and science. These presentations were given by Science Journalist Adam Murphy, Communications Professor and Environment Researcher Trish Morgan and STEM education expert Stephen Gammel.

Afterward, the students split into teams for a fun-filled session of table quizzes and escape room activities, with prizes for the winning teams. They then enjoyed lunch at the DCU canteen, where vouchers were provided. The day concluded with an award ceremony in the large lecture theatre, where each student received a certificate of participation, and the winning teams were presented with certificates and cash prizes in the form of One4All vouchers.
